BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority Board of Commissioners adopts final tax levies of $8,771,600 for debt service and $21,228,400 for general operating purposes for a total of $30,000,000 for year 2021; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2021 Budget, attached, be approved at $31,359,572. |

History: On September 29, 2020, the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) Board of Commissioners set the HCRRA’s maximum levy for 2021 at $30,000,000 with a budget of $31,359,572 (Resolution 20-HCRRA-0044).
The 2021 HCRRA budget includes new budget authority for the following capital projects:
- Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (approximately $6.0 million)
- Bottineau Light Rail Transit (approximately $0.7 million)
- Midtown Corridor Bridge Stabilization (approximately $2.5 million)
The 2021 HCRRA budget also includes $8.9 million for maintenance of the 46 miles of corridor and staff support for transitways and oversight of HCRRA's infrastructure assets and operational needs.
Current Request: Adoption of the 2021 HCRRA levy of $30,000,000 and budget of $31,359,572 will support the capital, debt service, and operational needs of the authority for 2021. |
