History: The Master Partnership Contract (MPC) allows the county to contract with the Minnesota Department of Transportation (MnDOT) for a variety of transportation related technical assistance and support services without a separate contract for each service when needed. Additionally, it allows the county to provide and bill for services to MnDOT when requested.
Types of services available thought the MPC may include, but are not limited to, professional and technical services which result in the production of a report or completion of a task, roadway maintenance (not including reconstruction), construction administration, land management, and emergency services.
When a need is identified, MnDOT and the county will discuss the proposed work and the resources needed to perform the work. If agreed, MnDOT will prepare a work order contract for the project.
Repetitive low-cost technical services routinely performed by MnDOT for the county do not require a work order contract. These services are provided in accordance with standardized practices and processes and are more clearly described in Exhibit A – Table of Technical Services, attached to the MPC.
Current Request: This request seeks authorization to execute Agreement PW 23-40-22 (Master Partnership Contract No. 1050162) for reciprocal provision of available services upon request from July 1, 2022, through June 30, 2027. Approval of this request will replace the existing Agreement PW 34-40-17 (Master Partnership Contract No. 1028107) with MnDOT, which will expire on June 30, 2022.
