BE IT RESOLVED, that Agreement  A2211274 with State of Minnesota to provide access to Medical Examiner's case management system, during the period August 15, 2022 through June 30, 2025, in an estimated receivable amount of $11,520 be approved; that the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of the county; and that the Controller be authorized to accept and disperse funds as directed.

The purpose of this Agreement is to coordinate a system by which the Office of the Hennepin County Medical Examiner allows Minnesota Department of Health to abstract agreed upon data elements related to violent deaths and unintentional drug overdose deaths in Minnesota. The data are needed for the public health surveillance, epidemiology, prevention, and control of these deaths.

This action supports the county's health disparity reduction efforts by providing data to the State of MN in order to better inform citizens about drug and violent death trends.
