The provisions of Minnesota Statutes, Section 273.072 provide that any jurisdiction lying wholly or partially within the county may, by agreement entered into under section 471.59, provide for the assessment of property by the county assessor.

The City of Wayzata has requested to enter into an Agreement for assessment services, #A2211360, to include the assessment of all properties in the city. The new agreement will include the terms of this canceled agreement as well as cover the additional property types to be assessed by Hennepin County. The current agreement, #A2010434 is for commercial, industrial and apartment properties only, August 1, 2020 through July 31, 2024. The City of Wayzata and Hennepin County have mutually agreed to cancel the agreement as of July 31, 2022.
