WHEREAS, Jill Joseph served with distinction as a member of the Hennepin County Library Board from January 2008 until February 2017, including terms as president and vice president; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Joseph worked tirelessly to raise the profile of the Hennepin County Library system, locally by representing the Library before the Hennepin County Board, statewide by representing Hennepin County Library on the MELSA (Metropolitan Library Service Agency) Board of Trustees, and nationally in her service on the American Library Association’s Committee on Literacy and the United for Libraries Committee; and

WHEREAS, Ms. Joseph has been a faithful and steadfast colleague who contributed significantly to the Hennepin County Library system’s goals and objectives; who has been a strong advocate for library buildings and space, library administration and staff, technology, communication, collections;

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Board by this resolution extends its gratitude to Jill Joseph and acknowledges with great respect her generosity, time of service and commitment on behalf of the residents of Hennepin County, Minnesota and wishes her all the best in her future endeavors.
