Under M.S. 383B.73 subdivision 1, the Hennepin County Board of Commissioners has fifteen days to comment after the Park Board submits its budget to the county. The county received the Park District budget on November 17, 2017.

As proposed by the superintendent the 2018 General Fund Operating Budget is $2,423,435 an increase of 7.32% from the 2017 budget. The operating levy is going up by $2,626,946 or 9.12%.  The debt levy is going down by $2,626,946 or 20.8%. The total budgeted property tax levy including debt service is $$41,440,519, the same as the 2017 levy. A summary of the budget is attached.  Staff recommends no changes to the budget.
