2018 Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority levy and budget
Resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority Board of Commissioners adopts final tax levies of $8,253,000 for debt service and $27,747,000 for general operating purposes for a total of $36,000,000; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2018 Budget, attached, be approved at $109,036,156.

Background:

History: Resolution 17-HCRRA-0042 (adopted September 26, 2017) set the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) maximum levy for 2018 at $36,000,000 and a proposed budget of $109,036,156.

 

The 2018 HCRRA budget supports the following priority projects:

 

- Southwest Light Rail Transit (approximately $58.1 million)

- Bottineau Light Rail Transit (approximately $29.5 million)

- Orange Line Bus Rapid Transit (approximately $4.1 million)

- Midtown Greenway Corridor (approximately $1.1 million)

- Debt service (approximately $8.3 million)

 

The 2018 HCRRA budget also includes $8,046,740 for maintenance of the 55 miles of corridor and staff support for transitways and oversight of HCRRA's infrastructure assets and operational needs.
