BE IT RESOLVED, that Agreement A178060 with Casey Family Programs to provide collaboration on the Child Welfare Collaboration Strategies and Identified Outcomes Plan in Hennepin County child well-being services, during the period January 1, 2018 through December 31, 2020 in the receivable amount of $65,000 be approved; that the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the agreement on behalf of the county; and the Controller be authorized to disburse funds as directed. |

| | | | | | | | Background:
Casey Family Programs’ (CFP) mission is to provide, improve and ultimately prevent the need for foster care. CFP engages states, counties and tribes in child welfare collaborations to:
- safely reduce the number of youth in foster care in this country;
- support more effective reinvestments in children and families
- demonstrate how every child can have a safe and permanent family; and
- encourage a shared vision to improve the long-term safety and success of children and families.
This Agreement supersedes and replaces any prior Child Welfare Initiative Agreement between CFP and Hennepin County, and any such prior agreement is terminated as of the effective date of this Agreement. CFP Provides technical expertise, resources, and ongoing strategic consulting to the county. During the term of this agreement, Hennepin County and CFP will:
- work together to advance their mutual goal of improving outcomes for youth and families who experience the foster care system;
- identify, implement and assess practices to improve child well-being services; and
- collaborate on the Child Welfare Collaboration Strategies and Identified Outcomes Plan.
