Background:
History: Minnesota Statutes §163.07 requires the county board to appoint and employ a county highway engineer. The board may appoint a new county engineer for a term of only one year. All reappointments shall be for a term of four years, and shall be made in May of the year in which the term expires.
The board appointed Ms. Carla Stueve to the position of Transportation Project Delivery Director, effective January 1, 2018 (Resolution 17-0512). Ms. Stueve is a professional engineer, registered under the laws of the state of Minnesota, and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer®.
Current Request: Appoint Carla Stueve to be the Hennepin County Highway Engineer for a term of one year, effective May 22, 2018 through May 21, 2019.
