BE IT RESOLVED, that Amendment 1 to Agreement A178093 with Allied Security Holdings LLC for security officer and dispatcher services, extending the end date to December 31, 2019 and increasing the contract by $4,172,577 for a new total not to exceed amount of $8,345,154 be approved; that the Chair of the Board be authorized to sign the Amendment on behalf of the county; and that the Controller be authorized to disburse funds as directed.

| | | | | | | | Background:
History: The Facility Services Security Division provides security services at various county sites through a combination of electronic measures and personnel. Security is staffed by full-time county officers/dispatchers and contract officers. Hennepin County security staffing has been supplemented by contracted security companies for over 39 years.
Allied Security Holdings LLC (Allied), has provided security staff services since 2013. This amendment seeks to extend Agreement A178093 with Allied for up to twelve months to a new contract end date of December 31, 2019. The annual contract amount for 2019 is consistent with the 2018 contract amount.
Facility Services plans to issue a new Request for Proposals in 2019.
Current Request: Under this contract extension Allied Security Holdings LLC, will continue to provide security staffing services in 2019. The not to exceed amount will be increased by $4,172,577 for a new total not to exceed amount of $8,345,154.
