Minnesota Statues, section 163.07, subdivisions 1 and 2, requires that the County Board appoint a County Highway Engineer. Carla Stueve was appointed as the County Highway Engineer for a one-year term effective May 22, 2018 (Resolution 18-0176). Minnesota Statues require that, after an initial one-year appointment, all subsequent reappointments shall be for four years and shall be made during the month of May.

Ms. Stueve is a registered Professional Engineer in the State of Minnesota and is a certified Professional Traffic Operations Engineer®. She has served as the Transportation Project Delivery Department Director since January 1, 2018 (Resolution 17-0512).

Reappointment of Carla J. Stueve as Hennepin County Highway Engineer for a four-year term is recommended.
