WHEREAS, in recognition of the 25th Anniversary of the Domestic Abuse Service Center, the Hennepin County Attorney’s Office requests that the Hennepin County Board pass a resolution recognizing October 11, 2019 as the 25th Anniversary of the Domestic Abuse Service Center; and
WHEREAS, since 1994, the Hennepin County Domestic Abuse Service Center reported more than 1.5 million contacts with victims. This number includes in person, telephone, and court attendance with victims; and
WHEREAS, advocates serve a large and diverse population of individuals who have been victims of domestic violence; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Domestic Abuse Service Center and our community and government partners strive to best serve victims of domestic abuse by building trust and restoring hope; therefore
