2020 Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority levy and budget
Resolution:

BE IT RESOLVED, that the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority Board of Commissioners adopts final tax levies of $9,198,750 for debt service and $20,801,250 for general operating purposes for a total of $30,000,000 for year 2020; and

 

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that the 2020 Budget, attached, be approved at $40,190,476.

Background:

History: On September 24, 2019, the Hennepin County Regional Railroad Authority (HCRRA) Board of Commissioners set the HCRRA’s maximum levy for 2020 at $30,000,000 with a budget of $40,190,476 (Resolution 19-HCRRA-0040).

 

The 2020 HCRRA budget includes new budget authority for the following capital projects:

 

- Southwest Light Rail Transit (approximately $7.4 million)

- Bottineau Light Rail Transit (approximately $3.7 million

- Midtown Corridor Bridge Stabilization (approximately $3.5 million)

 

The 2020 HCRRA budget also includes $11.3 million for maintenance of the 46 miles of corridor and staff support for transitways and oversight of HCRRA's infrastructure assets and operational needs.
