Background:
The Hennepin County Open Appointments Policy and MS 383B.102 require the county administrator to seek county board confirmation of unclassified service appointments.
The county administrator is recommending Yvonne Forsythe be appointed to the unclassified position of Director for Purchasing and Contract Services. During her tenure with Hennepin County, Ms. Forsythe has served in a variety of positions of increasing responsibility. She began as a senior administrative assistant in Housing Community Works and Transit in 2002, was promoted through a series of manager positions and has now served as the acting Purchasing Manager since April 2019.
Ms. Forsythe's ability to innovate, collaborate and lead give her the skill set needed to move the Purchasing and Contract Services team into the future.
